Ingredients
- 5 cups frozen chopped green beans
- 2 oz Lipton Onion Soup and Soup Mix
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 cup fried onions
- 1/2 cup real pieces of bacon
- Garnish
- 2 tablespoons real pieces of bacon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup fried onions
- 15 Ritz cookies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- Pour the milk into a large saucepan.
- Add the onion soup mix to the milk and mix well. Bring to a boil.
- Add the cream cheese to the pan and reduce the heat to medium. Stir until the cream cheese is completely melted.
- Add frozen green beans to the pan and stir until completely coated in the soup and cream cheese mixture.
- Add 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup fried onions to the pan and mix well. Reduce the heat to low.Garnish
- Place the Ritz cookies in a Ziploc bag and smash with a rolling pin.
- Pour the crushed Ritz crackers in a small bowl to mix with 1 cup of fried onions and the melted butter.
- Use a fork to combine all the ingredients.
- Drain the green bean mixture into a greased 9-inch square baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the garnish mixture over the green beans.
- Sprinkle with bacon on top.
- Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake until the filling is barely golden 14-16 minutes.
- Let the pan sit for a few minutes before serving.
